COMFORT by Halrloprillalar - hal@prillalar.com "I ... I can't believe it." Momo leaned against the wall, his arm covering his eyes. "There was a 62% chance that Echizen and Kaidoh would get together," Inui said. "But I admit, I thought I could prevent it." "Inui-senpai!" Momo dropped his arm and stared. "What are you doing here?" "Following Kaidoh," Inui said, holding up a notebook. "And you?" "I thought Echizen might want to play tennis," Momo said. "And then I saw *them* doing *that*." Tears welled up in his eyes and spilled down over his cheeks. Inui sighed. "Don't cry, Momoshiro," he said, although he was very close to crying himself. "There's a 74% chance that their relationship won't last more than two weeks." Momo sniffled. "Do you think so?" "Of course," Inui said. "I've made the calculations very carefully, based on their personalities." He put his arm around Momo's shoulders. "So please cheer up." But Momo just cried harder and now he had his face buried in Inui's chest, getting Inui's shirt all wet. Inui rubbed Momo's back. In fact, it helped Inui a little to know that someone else shared his grief over the situation. And it was comforting to have Momo's arms around him. "It's just not fair!" Momo said and looked up at Inui. Inui looked down at Momo. Five seconds later, Momo's back was against the wall and they were kissing. Inui thought it wasn't as good as kissing Kaidoh would surely be, but it was pretty damn good all the same. And then they were on the ground and pulling at each other's clothing. And then Momo was making strangled sounds in the back of his throat and Inui was trying to remember the diagrams in that book he had at home. And then they were done. Inui wiped sweat off his forehead. Momo was leaning against him and they were both breathing hard. "Momoshiro," Inui said. "Yes?" "I have a plan how we can break them up." "Can I help?" Momo said. "Of course," Inui said. "We'll be able to separate them and manoeuvre them so that I can get Kaidoh and you can get Echizen." Momo sat up straight. "Echizen?" he said. Things grew chilly after that.
