Summary: Arthur Weasley, on the town.

Notes: For the hp100 Wizard-Muggle relations challenge.

On a grey December morning, Arthur Weasley walked through London, glancing into Muggle shop windows.

He met five wizards in flowing robes, immense hats, and beards almost to their knees.

"You shouldn't go about dressed like that," Arthur said, shocked.

"I've had it with you bloody mundanes," one said. "We'll wear what we like."

"I'm not a ... mundane," Arthur said. He discreetly pulled his wand from his sleeve.

The wizard laughed. "Come on, then, before the queue fills up." He pulled Arthur along with them. "We'll lend you some robes."

"Dunno," another said. "I think he'd make a better hobbit."

Very cute! and I concur, author would be a good hobbit. Or perhaps a goblin.

Oh, that was wonderful! What I like best about it is that it's not even necessarily an AU story; it makes perfect sense that the LOTR movies would've been made in the HP universe, and that Arthur might run into some LOTR fans when one of the movies had just come out.

I'm boggling at the thought of just what Arthur will make of his experience. [grin] With any luck, they're going to see Fellowship, so he'll be able to see all three in order. :D

Oh, wonderful. The idea of Arthur meeting Muggles has great humour potential anyhow, but *these* Muggles… :)

And they’re right – he would make a good hobbit. I’m sure the Malfoys would agree with that assessment, too. ;)

I particularly liked the Mundane label – a neat counterpoint to Muggle. Now, I’d love to know what Arthur made of the movie…

lol. Funny to say the least.
