Faculty Lounge
"I've heard things about you," said Snyder, "about your...proclivities." He looked at Giles meaningfully.
"Even if everything you've heard about me is true, " Giles said, "I don't much fancy you."
"Do you fancy your job?"
Giles did.
And in the end he found that he did fancy Snyder, after all.
Cocktail
Spike needed money. He got a job as a bartender. The tips were really good and the hours were perfect. Plus it was easy to sneak free drinks. But sometimes the chip in his head kept him from serving people who'd already had too much to drink.
So he got fired.
Prime Directive
Xander put on his Starfleet uniform and went to the con. He was having a good time until he spotted them: Jonathan and Andrew. Did they think they could get away with this?
But Xander couldn't bring himself to turn them in until after the con.
Besides, Jonathan outranked him.
Love Story
Dawn met a cute boy at school. They went out and kissed and stuff and Dawn was very happy. Then the boy broke up with her.
She went home and cried.
"Cheer up," said Buffy. "Lots worse stuff has happened to me."
It didn't help.
Him
Xander pulled at the jacket but it wouldn't go over his shoulders.
"You're too big," said Spike.
"Maybe if I hunch over..."
Spike grabbed the collar and yanked until the jacket came free. "You'd look a right git anyhow." And he put it on.
Xander looked at him.
FINIS
It's great how much of the spirit of the show you've captured in so few words - these made me grin, but they also hit the spot on characterisation. (Well, apart from the Snyder/Giles. Sorry. But even that one still made me grin.)
Yes, so, I enjoyed these very much indeed, and I'm left impressed by the skill which they were written.
